About Cynosure Elite+ ® Laser Hair Removal

Elite+ ® uses two wavelengths in a single system, 755 nm alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG, allowing for exceptional flexibility during a single session. This flexible and versatile combination makes it possible to permanently remove unwanted hair from all skin types. Alexandrine wave is suitable for most skin and hair types, and Nd:YAG can target darker skin tones safely and effectively.

In addition, the size of the tip is larger, which allows for faster processing. You will then receive the results you want faster than with other laser hair removal systems. This laser is coupled with a cold system that blows cold air on the skin during treatment to protect it and provide greater comfort to the patient by anesthetizing the skin with cold.

Contre -Indications 🚫

🚫 Certain treatments (antibiotics, corticosteroids, roaccutane, etc.), skin diseases or lesions, an infection or herpes are contraindications to laser hair removal, as is pregnancy, breastfeeding or a tattoo on the area to be treated.

🚫 You must wait at least 6 months after giving birth to receive treatment.

🚫 If you have finished your antibiotics, you should still wait 12 days after the last dose.

🚫 Same thing for Accutane (acne treatment), must have finished at least 6 months ago.

🚫 Finally, tanning (including self-tanner) is the enemy of laser hair removal, to be avoided at least two weeks before laser hair treatment since by increasing the amount of pigments in the skin, it can lead to burns (exposure to the sun but also UV booths).

Photorejuvenation

Photorejuvenation is a noninvasive procedure that uses intense light to improve the quality of the skin, reduce the signs of ageing and regenerate collagen. There is no down time needed for this treatment. After a few sessions, patients will notice a more smooth, firm skin and a more even complexion. It promotes the production of collagen, it targets redness often caused by rosacea.

It’s crucial to protect the skin with a mineral Sun cream SPF50 after the treatments and as a daily routine.

Facial telangiectasias

Laser treatment for facial telangiectasias is a commonly used method to target and attenuate small, dilated blood vessels that appear as red, purple, or blue lines on the skin. These vessels, often referred to as “couperose”, can be effectively treated using laser technology. The ND Yag laser is used for superficial telangiectasias on the face but also used for the treatment of rosacea. The treatment is targeted at the blood vessels, minimizing side effects. The laser emits light that is absorbed by hemoglobin, the red pigment found in blood vessels. This absorption causes light to be converted into heat, which damages the walls of the blood vessels and causes them to close. Once the vessels are sealed, they are gradually absorbed by the body.

Pain and discomfort

Some people may experience mild pain or discomfort during and after treatment, often described as a sting or burning. These symptoms may persist for a few hours  after the treatment.

Consultation and follow-up

An appointment will be given for a follow-up 2 to 3 weeks later, to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment.

Treatment of pigment spots and solar and senile lentigos

The Alexandrite laser is used to target melanin pigment in spots, generating heat that breaks the pigment into particles. These particles become darker and form a crust on the surface of the skin and then crumble, and new skin then appears.

Redness and temporary swelling of the treated area may occur and last for a few hours or days. Usually after two weeks, everything is back to normal.

Post-treatment care

It is important to protect yourself from the sun, do not expose yourself to the sun and apply a mineral sunscreen SPF 50.

Mesotherapy is a technique using a microneedle process that consists of making micro-perforations in the dermis, under the superficial part of the skin, using regular pulsation with peptide serums and Exosomes .
